Can an NP prescribe Suboxone in Texas?

Yes — Texas NPs can prescribe Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone), a Schedule III medication, when prescribing is delegated through a prescriptive authority agreement and controlled-substance requirements are met.12

For Schedule III–V controlled substances, Texas APRN prescribing is subject to limits, including 90-day supply/refill limits and physician consultation for refills beyond the initial 90-day supply.1 NPs prescribing controlled substances also need appropriate DEA registration.
