How many nurse practitioners can a physician supervise in Illinois?

In Illinois, the number of nurse practitioners a physician may supervise is not capped by statute. A physician can collaborate with multiple APRNs; however, entering into an excessive number of collaborative agreements that impairs adequate collaboration can lead to disciplinary action by the medical board.1
