How often does a collaborative agreement need to be reviewed in South Carolina?

In South Carolina, a collaborative (practice) agreement must be reviewed at least annually by the APRN and the physician, and each review must be dated and signed. This annual review requirement helps ensure the agreement remains current and compliant with state law1. The agreement must also document the dates it was reviewed and amended, if applicable2.

Additionally, the agreement must be made available to the Board within 72 hours of any request, and failure to produce it is considered misconduct. The Board also conducts random audits of practice agreements at least biennially1.
