How often does a collaborative agreement need to be reviewed in North Carolina?

A collaborative practice agreement must be reviewed at least annually in North Carolina1. The review must be documented by a dated signature sheet signed by both parties and kept available for inspection by members or agents of either Board1.

Additionally, both the NP and the supervising physician must maintain the signed collaborative practice agreement at their practice sites2. Separate from the annual agreement review, the parties must hold monthly meetings for the first six months and ongoing quality improvement meetings at least every six months, with documentation retained for five years34.
