What are the requirements for terminating a collaborative agreement in Wisconsin?

Wisconsin does not set specific requirements for terminating a collaborative agreement. State law and Board of Nursing rules are silent on formal termination procedures, notice periods, or specific steps to end an APNP–physician collaboration.

However, APNPs are required to document their collaborative relationship with a physician or dentist1. While the rules do not prescribe how to terminate or update this documentation, the obligation to maintain documented collaboration remains part of the regulatory framework.
