Hi! I am a DO, board-certified Psychiatrist based in Florida. I am currently licensed in 21 states (and counting!). Always open to taking on more! I am extremely passionate about psychiatry and mental wellness. Proficient in diagnosing, medication management, and personalized patient care. My experience spans all age ranges and settings. I care for children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. I provide care in acute inpatient facilities, EDs, crisis stabilization units, PHP/IOP, and outpatient settings. I love learning about newer and cutting edge treatment modalities, and I am happy to employ a full range of therapies! Much of the satisfaction in my career comes from the relationships formed--with patients, team members, and collaborators. I have 11 years of experience practicing psychiatry, and 7 of those years have been enriched by working directly with Advanced Practice Providers. I prefer to take a "team-based" approach when caring for patients, while simultaneously allowing Providers to develop their own treatment style and approach to patients. Dr. Janette Leal graduated from a combined internal medicine and psychiatry residency program at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She went on to specialize in geriatric Psychiatry at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. There, she worked in inpatient and outpatient psychiatry with a variety of diagnoses and cared for severely ill patients. She developed an interest in holistic psychiatry and psychedelic therapy and has enjoyed collaborating with PAs and NPs practicing psychiatry.

Dr. Denise Josey, MD, MPH, MS, FASM is a fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and has been Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine at Nova Southeastern University.  Dr. Josey earned her Doctorate of Medicine degree from Howard University College of Medicine;  a Masters of Public Health degree with a concentration in Quantitative Methods (Biostatistics and Epidemiology) from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ School of Public Health- now Rutgers University; and Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.  She completed her residency in Preventive Medicine/Public Health Medicine at the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County and an Addiction Medicine fellowship at Saint Joseph Mercy hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She currently holds board certifications in both Addiction Medicine and Preventive Medicine/Public Health Medicine.     Dr. Josey has dedicated her career to social justice, mental health, wound care, chronic pain, and mitigating the opioid crisis in suburban and urban areas. Dr. Josey can currently assist with asynchronous consults, supervision and directorship, but no synchronous consults or direct patient visits at this time.

I am a board-certified OB/GYN with over a decade of clinical experience and a background in men's health. In addition to my active medical practice, I serve as a medical director and collaborating physician for multiple clinics, where I oversee compliance, protocols, and patient safety. I am licensed in multiple states, which allows me to support practices remotely as a collaborating physician. My focus is on providing accessible, reliable oversight that helps practices grow while maintaining the highest standards of care.
