I've held multiple roles in the department including Medical Director, Director of Education, Vice Chair, and Quality Champion. Currently I am licenced in New York, New Jersey, Kentucky, Florida and Iowa. I am starting a new chapter in my career and I have opened and growing Wellness Clinic in South Florida where I will be focusing on therapies that will support traditional Western Medicine. I have a specia interest in Stem cell therapy for chronic pain, inflammatory illness, hair regeneration, and aesthetics. Additionally, I am offering ketamine therapy for mental health and chronic pain management. I have personal experience in how these therapies work and I truely believe that they can reshape how medicine is practiced. Dr. Denise Josey, MD, MPH, MS, FASM is a fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and has been Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine at Nova Southeastern University.  Dr. Josey earned her Doctorate of Medicine degree from Howard University College of Medicine;  a Masters of Public Health degree with a concentration in Quantitative Methods (Biostatistics and Epidemiology) from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ School of Public Health- now Rutgers University; and Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.  She completed her residency in Preventive Medicine/Public Health Medicine at the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County and an Addiction Medicine fellowship at Saint Joseph Mercy hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She currently holds board certifications in both Addiction Medicine and Preventive Medicine/Public Health Medicine.     Dr. Josey has dedicated her career to social justice, mental health, wound care, chronic pain, and mitigating the opioid crisis in suburban and urban areas. Dr. Josey can currently assist with asynchronous consults, supervision and directorship, but no synchronous consults or direct patient visits at this time.

I am a board-certified adult and forensic psychiatrist with advanced training in psychotherapy, integrated care, and leadership experience in both private practice and academic settings. My emergency medicine residency was in Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL and I've been practicing emergency medicine for the last 17 years in the metropolitan Atlanta area. My primary hospital is one of the busiest ED's in the country. I've been training medical residents for the last 8 years.
