Wendy has been practicing family medicine for over 25 years with an expertise in integrative psychiatry, functional medicine, women's health/ BHRT, weight loss, primary and urgent care of all ages. I love to collaborate with APCs and have been for > 10 years. I enjoy mentoring/teaching (if desired) and learning / brain storming with APCs especially about root causes and holistic, cutting edge, and evidence based approaches. I work 4 days a week at a virtual, functional medicine practice and invest 1 day for collaborations. I am free late afternoons and evenings, too. I would like to ensure that accessible and affordable health care is available to patients and believe in the mission of APCs to offer such care.

Dr Herbert was born in Washington DC and grew up in Los Angeles, California. She attended Yale University receiving a BA in Biology followed by an MD degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Martin Luther King Hospital in Compton, California. Her career highlights include being Assistant Director for 2 Emergency Departments, and Medical Director of an Emergency Department and EMS Medical Director its surrounding county. After 30 years of active practice in EM, she attained board certification in Lifestyle Medicine and transitioned to being medical director of a private telehealth wellness practice. Administratively, she spends her time as medical director of the US Postal Inspection Service and brings lifestyle performance coaching to the development of their health and wellness programming. I am a trained Family and Sports Medicine physician with a deep commitment to mental health diagnosis, treatment, and accessibility. Over the years, I have witnessed how emotional well-being profoundly shapes physical health, recovery, and patient outcomes. This has fueled my passion for expanding access to comprehensive, integrated mental health care — meeting patients where they are, without stigma or barriers. My background in family medicine and urgent care has provided me with a strong foundation in holistic, patient-centered medicine, where safety, communication are central to care. I am particularly focused on helping patients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, and burnout, while incorporating preventive and lifestyle-based approaches to long-term mental wellness. In addition to my clinical practice, I have served as a collaborating physician and medical director for multiple medspas, where I developed expertise in aesthetic and regenerative procedures. I have hands-on experience with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, stem cell harvesting and injections for joint and aesthetic use, and oversight of a wide range of treatments including Botox, dermal fillers, IV therapy, red light therapy, microneedling, and dermabrasion. I also support clinics providing hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and medical weight loss, including GLP-1–based programs—areas that often intersect with mental and emotional health. My focus across all disciplines remains the same: to provide safe, compliant, and effective care while fostering meaningful collaboration and promoting the mind-body connection as a cornerstone of true wellness.

Dr. Patrick Herling D.O. brings over 6 years of experience in emergency medicine with 2 years running aesthetic/wellness clinic. From my broad scope of work in emergency medicine to specialized patient treatment plans in our wellness clinic, my goal is to provide treatment for the overall health of my patients.

Hello! My name is Dr. Edwin Wu and I am a board certified Emergency Physician, Medical Intensivist and Neurointensivist. Lately, in addition to trying to save lives and brain from catastrophe, I've developed an interest in helping support those who want to pursue clinical practice on their own with collaboration, medical directorship, PC ownership advisory and consultation so that we can help patients optimize their healthspan, esthetic appearance, weight control, and ultimately functional quality of life! In addition to being board certified in the above mentioned specialties, I'm pursuing board certification in Functional Medicine (with the Institute of Functional Medicine) and Obesity Medicine (through the American Board of Obesity Medicine).
